Los Bukis ('The Bukis', buki translates as Little Kid in Yaqui language) were a MexicanGrupera band from Ario de Rosales, Michoacán. In 1975 the band was founded by cousins Marco Antonio Solís and Joel Solís. Their first song was Falso Amor ('False love') and its style became popular in all of Latin America. Marco Antonio wrote the songs; the album 'Me Volvi A Acordar De Ti' in the year of 1987 sold one million records in just a few weeks after its launch earning the album 'diamond' status. A prize that only big-time artists at that time like The Beatles and Michael Jackson had achieved.

Marco Antonio Solís also wrote and produced albums for artists such as Marisela, Rocío Dúrcal, Beatriz Adriana, Lucero, El Pegasso de Emilio Reyna (now using the name El Pega Pega) and María Sorté. After twenty years of a success with 'Los Bukis', Marco decided to pursue a solo career. An agreement was made with the remaining band members, both parties agreed to not make any use of the name buki. The remaining members formed a new band called Los Mismos ('The Same Ones') as in 'the same members of Los Bukis'.
Possible Reunion
In 2017, Eusebio 'El Chivo' Cortez and Pedro Sanchez left Los Mismos and joined José Javier Solís forming a new band named Los BK'S. Los BK'S was chosen because they cannot make use of the original name Los Bukis. Marco Antonio Solis has copyright ownership to the name. the purpose of the group is to reunite Los Bukis for one final tour and say good bye to the fans. José Javier Solis has stated that all the original members are welcomed to join. Marco Antonio Solis in an interview has stated that the reunion was done without merit and that only he will give an announcement should Los Bukis reunite he also stated that the group can make use of the songs but not make use of the name Los Bukis as it was a special significance in his career as well as for the other members. He mentioned that Joel Solis is not part of the reunion tour as well as Roberto Guadarrama due to his involvement with Los Mismos. as of 2019 Los BK'S continue to perform and have released their first studio album entitled Tu Amor. No official word if any of the other members will join the band has been given.
